Mid-level Consultant: Strategic Engagement & Digital Communications

We are seeking a digital communications and technology marketing professional to serve as a day-to-day execution lead for enterprise communications and marketing initiatives for a federal government client. The ideal candidate translates strategic direction into compelling campaigns, marketing materials, stakeholder engagement plans, and performance reporting mechanisms. They bring hands-on experience in technology communications, graphic design, and multi-channel campaign execution, and are comfortable producing both executive-ready content and operational deliverables.

Responsibilities

Communications & Campaign Execution

  • Develop and execute multi-channel communications campaigns promoting technology services and digital products.
  • Draft communications including executive communications, announcements, briefing materials, FAQs, and digital content.
  • Maintain campaign calendars, messaging frameworks, and stakeholder engagement materials.

Marketing Materials & Graphic Design

  • Design and produce professional marketing materials including branding, logos, slick sheets, one-pagers, digital flyers, infographics, and presentation decks.
  • Ensure visual consistency and quality across all marketing and communications products.

Stakeholder Engagement & Adoption

  • Support targeted outreach to technology stakeholders to drive awareness and adoption of technology services.
  • Develop stakeholder analyses and messaging tailored to distinct stakeholder segments, including leadership and operational audiences.

Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and report on adoption metrics, engagement analytics, and campaign performance.
  • Support governance processes, approval workflows, and documentation management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement frameworks and future-state communications roadmaps.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic communications, digital engagement, marketing, or change management.
  • Experience supporting the federal government.
  • Experience developing and executing multi-channel communications campaigns.
  • Graphic design experience with ability to produce professional marketing materials and digital content.
  • Experience supporting technology communications, including promoting enterprise IT services or digital platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills supporting metrics tracking and performance reporting for communications campaigns.
  • Experience creating executive-ready written products.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or equivalent).
  • Ability to independently assess needs, prioritize work, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Experience supporting healthcare IT communications in a federal environment.
  • Familiarity with digital analytics platforms and adoption measurement tools.
  • Knowledge of Agile or iterative delivery practices in a technology program context.
