Full Stack Software Developer – Associate (SW Eng II)

We are seeking a Full-stack Software Developer with a strong foundation in both front-end and back-end development. The ideal candidate enjoys building end to end solutions, collaborating with cross functional teams, and is open to integrating modern engineering practices—including responsible adoption of AI—to enhance productivity and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement back-end services and RESTful APIs.
  • Model, maintain, and optimize relational databases using SQL.
  • Build and maintain responsive front-end features with a focus on performance and usability.
  • Participate in code reviews, CI/CD workflows, automated testing, and secure development practices.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues while contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with product owners, analysts, testers, and stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver value.
  • Utilize AI assisted tools (e.g., Copilot, code assistants) responsibly to support development and documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of professional software development experience (e.g., designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using agile methods).
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Information Systems or related field.
  • Hands on experience with SQL, including schema design and query optimization.
  • Experience working across both front-end and back-end components.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with DevOps tools and workflows (e.g., GitHub, CI/CD).
  • Familiarity with Adobe ColdFusion/CFML.
  • Experience developing with Vue.
  • Experience with PL/SQL or Oracle database programming.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Experience with automated testing, monitoring, and performance tuning.
  • Interest in adopting and responsibly using AI tools in day-to-day development.

Location

  • Remote with occasional in-person meetings in the DC Metro Area.
